At Parramatta Smash Repair, we pride ourselves on our state of the art service and high end equipment. We invest in the latest innovations to get you back on the road sooner and ensure that your pride and joy is not “written off”, when those bad days happen.
One of the many innovative technologies available at our facility is the Car-o-liner, which is used to analyse any structural damage or misalignment of your vehicle that may be missed by the naked eye.
How Does A Car-o-Liner Work?
While visiting a medical specialist, you may or may not have been asked to step on a foot pressure test machine or a mechanical scale. These particular devices are used by medical professionals to determine functionality, gate and displacement within your body that has been caused by an injury or developed over time. A Car-o-liner works in much the same way, only for your car, where it’s assessing what smash repairers call structural damage.
Fixing Structural Damage
Structural damage occurring in luxury cars requires manufacturer approved techniques and equipment to repair and restore the vehicle back to its manufacturer specified condition. This includes methods that ensure the safety of our operators and a precise analysis of the true damage to be repaired.
Using high end software and sensors, the Car-o-liner takes readings of your car’s chassis rail, cross members and upper coupler supports post accident and determines the extent of the structural damage. Once the analysis is complete, the chassis rail and other supporting structures are then mechanically “pulled” back into their original shape. Any significantly damaged sections needing replacement can be digitally monitored as the replacement parts are welded into place.
